Australia’s payment industry heavyweights collaborate to deliver 3D Secure 2 authentication for merchants.
GPayments, an Australian provider of fraud prevention solutions and a market leader in the 3D Secure (3DS) authentication industry, for over two decades, has connected to the Australian company eftpos to add support for eftpos Secure to its 3D Secure Server solution for merchants, acquirers and payment service providers, ActiveServer. ActiveServer has been certified with eftpos Secure since 24th December 2021.
Online shopping has become the new norm, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The resulting increase in Card-Not-Present transactions has, as predicted, caused a surge in fraudulent transactions, putting merchants at a much greater risk of being exposed to fraud. GPayments 3DS Server solution, ActiveServer, is certified by all the major card schemes and payment networks worldwide and enables merchants to take advantage of liability shift and avoid chargebacks by placing the responsibility for cardholder authentication squarely onto the issuers.
The GPayments-eftpos collaboration is the first in a series of steps that GPayments is taking to support domestic merchants and payment service providers to increase payments security and help reduce fraud and overall transaction costs. GPayments’ fraud risk management solutions for financial institutions, payment service providers, and merchants help safeguard the payment ecosystem end-to-end.
