GPayments is publishing a report on the state of the card-not-present authentication standards in 2017, which outlines the current and future global authentication protocols to combat fraud in card-not-present transactions.  The paper describes the usage of 3D Secure worldwide, along with the in-country standards such as India (PaySecure), China (UPOP) and Russia (MRI). It highlights how 3D Secure 2.0 by EMVCo will provide a frictionless flow in card-not-present transactions and the PSD2, which is an improvement to the Directive on Payment Services. It also states the forecasted growth in online transactions worldwide.
